CM2 HexaMesh Iso
current version: 5.5.2 (February 2025)
Solid Hexahedral Mesh Generator (isotropic)
CM2 HexaMesh Iso is a Delaunay isotropic hex-dominant mesh generator for your FEA (Finite Element Analysis) applications.
CM2 HexaMesh Iso offers unique features among the very few available hex mesh generators today:
- CM2 HexaMesh Iso is a true Delaunay hex-dominant mesh generator respecting user-defined constraints: outer and inner boundary faces, specific embedded faces, edges and nodes, local mesh sizes (isotropic), maximum size gradations and background mesh.
- CM2 HexaMesh Iso accepts all-quad, hybrid (quad-dominant) or all-triangle boundary meshes (extern or embedded).
- CM2 HexaMesh Iso generates a high ratio of hexahedrons (bricks) and wedges. Some pyramids and tetrahedrons are also usually required.
- High-order elements, for instance quadratic 10-node tetrahedrons, 14-node pyramids, 18-node prisms and 26/27-node hexahedrons (bricks), can be generated with the help of CM2 MeshTools SDK Core functions (provided free of charge with all licenses).
- Like the other mesh generators of the CM2 MeshTools SDK, CM2 HexaMesh Iso is written in modern C++.
A COM interface is also available for others Windows .Net languages (managed C++, C#, Visual Basic…)

Complementary Products
CM2 SurfMesh® Q4
CM2 SurfMesh Q4 is the CAD surface quad-dominant / all-quad mesh generator from the CM2 MeshTools SDK (partially based on the OpenCascade kernel). CM2 SurfMesh Q4 can generate the input surface mesh for CM2 HexaMesh Iso for instance.
CM2 SurfRemesh® Q4
CM2 SurfRemesh Q4 is the surface quad-dominant / all-quad remesher from the CM2 MeshTools SDK. The initial surface is defined by an all-triangle mesh (STL-mesh, deformed mesh, mesh too coarse or too fine…)
CM2 SurfRemesh Q4 can improve/regenerate the input surface mesh for CM2 HexaMesh Iso for instance.
CM2 TetraMesh® Iso
CM2 TetraMesh Iso is the Delaunay solid isotropic tetrahedral mesh generator from the CM2 MeshTools SDK for (as good as possible) equilateral tetrahedrons.
CM2 TetraMesh Iso can fill the volume(s) inside the surface mesh generated by CM2 SurfMesh T3 or CM2 SurfRemesh T3 for instance.
Training + Custom Developments and Extensions
We love our code. As we have been and are still working hard to develop it, we know it inside out. No one is better suited to help you in many ways.
We are standing by to assist with the integration of our SDK into your programs. Training sessions are available either at your location or in our offices right here in Versailles, France. We’ll be happy to teach you to use our code, to integrate it and get the best out of it to power and enhance your applications.
We are open to suggestions to expand the boundaries of our CM2 MeshTools SDK and CM2 FEM SDK with new features tailored to your specific needs. We can also design and develop exclusive full custom-made code for you.
